Homeless Man Found Dead In Skid Row Area

Why:
LAPD’s Central Division responded to a report of a possible dead body on East 3rd Street and Crocker Avenue this morning. Officers responded and discovered an apparent homeless male covered in a make-shift tent on the street dead. Homicide detectives responded to the location and conducted an investigation and have preliminarily determined that there is no evidence of foul play. It appears the man has died of unknown causes.
Senior Lead Officer Deon Joseph, who works daily in the Skid Row area, will be available to discuss the issues of the Homeless living on the streets in downtown and how the discovery this morning may become a more serious issue in the future if not addressed.
