Why:
Members of the Los Angeles Police Department are joining efforts this Saturday morning with a local rescue group Voice For The Animals (VFTA). The officers will work with the community volunteers from VFTA in an effort to rescue a large group of cats and kittens who were being fed for many years by a church on Skid Row. The church closed this week which means that the more than 50 adult cats and kittens would be forced to fend for themselves on the City streets.
