Los Angeles: On Monday, December 27, 2004, at approximately 3:35 p.m., Hollenbeck Area patrol officers received information of a female Hispanic possibly dead in a residence located in the 300 block of North Indiana Street.

The officers responded to the location where they discovered a female Hispanic, later identified as 24 year-old Gina Elizabeth Brenes, wrapped in a blanket concealed inside the closet of a bedroom. The officers conducted a visual examination of the decedent and noted no signs of life were present. The decedent appeared to have been dead for several hours.

Homicide Detectives responded to the crime scene and developed information that the crime was a domestic related murder. The detectives received key information, which identified the decedent's husband, 30 year-old Carlos Rosales, as the suspect who is currently at large and being sought.

The examination of the victim revealed that she sustained blunt force trauma to the head and face area. The victim was transported to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office for further postmortem examination.
