WHY:
The T-3 is an all electric three-wheel vehicle that is designed to be a supplemental tool for police officers. Besides being environmentally friendly, this tool can help the officer cover a large area when conducting a foot beat. The T-3’s raised platform can enhance the officer’s view over large crowds, improving awareness and visibility. Ms. Dallas Price, a member of the Los Angeles Police Foundation funded the T-3, which is valued at more than $8,000. She is a beaming example of the police and community in true partnership with a single goal to increase the quality of life for the Rampart Community.
ADDITIONAL:
The donation of the T-3 mobile unit has been kept a secret from officers and command staff assigned to Rampart Area.
