Elderly Woman Found Murdered

Los Angeles: Police are investigating the death of a 82-year-old Reseda woman who was found dead inside of her home in the 6400 block of Topeka Drive.

On February 20, 2007, just before 11:00 a.m., the daughter of Rosa O. Ramos, showed up to take her mother to a doctor's appointment and found her lying in her bed unconscious.

The daughter called 911 for help and when emergency personnel responded the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are treating the death as a homicide, but are waiting for official word from the medical examiner on the exact cause of death.
