LAPD Helicopters Used as Targets for Lasers

Deputy Chief Richard Roupoli, Commanding Officer, Special Operations Bureau Captain Mike Williams, Commanding Officer, Air Support Division Air Support Division Personnel

WHY:
Recently there have been several incidents of individuals shooting lasers at LAPD helicopters while on patrol. This not only endangers the lives of the crew and passengers but also is illegal.

LAPD Air Support Division officers will be available for interviews.
