Young Man Nearly Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver NR10605rf
Los Angeles: Last month, an 18-year-old man attempting to cross the street at 5th Avenue and 9th Street was seriously injured by a suspect driving a Chevrolet Suburban.
The hit-and-run incident occurred on Nov. 28 around 4:30 p.m. as the driver/suspect was making a right turn onto 9th Street from 5th Avenue. The Suburban has been described as a dark-colored, 1990s model, possibly with the rear driver’s side window missing.
Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he has remained in critical condition.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division (WTD) is conducting the follow-up investigation and asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information about the Suburban or the incident is asked to call the WTD Traffic Detective Section at 213-473-0234.
