Convenience Store Robbers Caught on Tape
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Area
Robbery Section is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects that
have been involved in three robberies at a 7-11 convenience store located at
5600 San Vicente Boulevard.
The first robbery occurred on July 14, 2003 at about 3:00 a.m., and was
committed by two male Blacks armed with a semi-automatic handgun. The
suspects bound the clerk with duct tape and removed the surveillance tape
from the security system, along with several 7-11 employee uniforms. The
armed suspect was described as a male Black 6’ 165 pounds, 25-30 years of
age, wearing black clothing. The second suspect was described as a male
Black 6’05", 250 pounds, 40 years of age, also wearing black clothing.
The second robbery occurred on July 17, 2003 at about 4:05 a.m., and was
committed by a male Black suspect. The suspect was wearing a turquoise
baseball cap and flowered shirt. The suspect was armed with a small
semi-automatic handgun. The suspect possibly entered the store with two
female blacks, also observed in the surveillance tape.
The third robbery occurred on July 19, 2003 at about 4:15 a.m., and was
committed by two male blacks. The two suspects were both armed with
semi-automatic handguns. The suspects were both wearing black hooded
sweatshirts and white scarves over their faces. The suspects fled in a
possible 1997 black Toyota Corolla. Both suspects are about 5’08", 160
pounds, and 23-24 years of age.
Surveillance videotape at the 7-11 convenience store captured
surveillance footage of the suspects which is available to the media at the
LAPD Media Relations Section located at 150 North Los Angeles Street, Room
626.
