Korean Speaking Robber Caught on Video

 

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Area Robbery Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect responsible for robbing the Cafeoke Ding Dong Dang video store, located in the 1000 block of south Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles.

On July 9, 2003, at 9:30 p.m., a male Korean entered the business and posed as a customer. He left and returned a few minutes later with a handgun, pointed it at the employees and demanded money in Korean. He took the money and then left the location.

Surveillance videotape caught the suspect’s image and is available to the Media at the LAPD Media Relations Office located at 150 North Los Angeles Street, room 626. The suspect is described as a 19-21 year-old, male Korean, 5’-6" tall, 140 pounds. He was wearing eyeglasses and a black Converse sweatshirt with a hood.
