Los Angeles: On Tuesday July 20, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., Chief William J. Bratton, along with teachers, students and parents, will hold a round table discussion with 6th grade students from Berendo Middle School who are participating in the first ever LAPD Essay Contest. Chief Bratton will sit down and talk with students about how, "if they were a Los Angeles Police officer, they would help solve a problem in their neighborhood or community." Students from Berendo Middle School will also be available for sound bytes.
