South Los Angeles Man Shot and Killed

Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help with information on the shooting death of 34 year old Larry Kendrick Scott.

On Friday night, July 21, 2006, around 9:15 p.m., Scott was standing on the sidewalk in the 4500 block of Van Ness Avenue. The suspects, described only as two black men, drove by and shot him. The suspects fled the area in a gray sedan.

Los Angeles Fire Department, paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The motive for this shooting is believed to be gang related. The weapon and suspects remain outstanding.
