LAPD Intelligence Conference

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, proudly announces the 1st Annual Law Enforcement Intelligence Conference scheduled on July 27 and 28, 2006, at the University of Southern California. The JRIC will provide a platform for federal, state and local law enforcement to collect and share criminal information and intelligence.

In addition, the conference will feature a mixture of global experts and local practitioners in an effort to support the alignment of people, mission, purpose, and strategy of preventing, detecting, and disrupting acts of terrorism.

Over 200 law enforcement professionals throughout the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo will attend. These are the same counties that will be served by the new Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC), which officially opens on July 27, 2006.

Several topics, ranging from terrorism threats abroad, intelligence systems and other matters relating to the overall management of terrorism issues will be discussed.
