Two Victims Murdered

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Tuesday, June 22, 1999

On Saturday, June 19, 1999 at approximately 12:25 a.m., a double murder occurred at the 5100 block of W. Washington Boulevard. Candelario Lara Matias, a male Hispanic, 42 years of age and Armando Miramontes Hernandez, a male Hispanic, 24 years of age were inside the location and received gunshot wounds to the body. The victims expired at the scene. The motive for the murders is unknown.

No vehicle was seen. The weapon, a possible handgun, is outstanding.
