Officers Locate Missing 87 Year Old

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Wednesday, June 16, 1999

On June 14, 1999, at approximately 12:00 PM, 87 year old Esther Charlam, walked away from her residence at the Woodland Park Retirement Hotel located at 21200 Ventura Boulevard, Woodland Hills.

The Los Angeles Police Department was notified on June 15, 1999, at approximately 9:30 AM, and a search was promptly conducted. It was critical that Charlam was found quickly due to medical concerns. Within a few hours, officers discovered Charlam had made her way back safely to her previous residence in the West Los Angeles Area. Thanks to the combined efforts of Charlam's niece, Felicia Silverman, West Valley and West Los Angeles Area Officers, Ms. Charlam was returned home unharmed.
