Los Angeles: Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 37 year-old male Hispanic.

On Sunday, June 15, 2003, at about 2:00 a.m., the victim and the suspect were engaged in a physical altercation at a restaurant parking lot located in the 5400 block of Valley Blvd. During the altercation the suspect shot the victim in the upper torso striking him multiple times.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle and was pronounced dead as a result of his wounds. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to his family.

The motive for the shooting and the suspect’s identity are unknown at this time.
