20 Murder Suspects Captured and Convicted

What:
News conference to announce the capture and conviction of South Los Angeles’
top 20 murder suspects.

When:
Friday, June 9, 2006
12:30 p.m.

Where:
77th Division’s Community Room
7600 South Broadway, Los Angeles

Who:
Chief William J. Bratton, Chief of Police
Deputy Chief Earl C. Paysinger, Operations-South Bureau

Why:
The LAPD will highlight the proliferation of murders in South Los Angeles and profile the top 20 arrests and convictions among the most serious murder cases from July 2001 to September 2005.

Photographs of the convicted murderers will be available at the news conference.

In addition, several hundred weapons seized this year will be displayed.
