Officer Simmon's family will be presented with a check which includes money raised at the Burger King fundraiser that took place on February 13, 2008 and donations from private citizens and corporations.
LAPD SWAT Officer Randall Simmons was killed in the line of duty on February 7, 2008 in West Valley Division.
