Man Found Dead Inside Truck

 

Los Angeles: On May 3, 2004, at about 6:45 A.M., Newton Patrol officers responded to an "ambulance shooting" radio call in the 1600 block of East 50 Street. They discovered a 54-year-old male Hispanic, shot to death inside his semi-truck.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was transporting a tractor-trailer cargo of meat from Texas when he was robbed of his cargo. During the robbery the victim was shot and killed. The trailer was later recovered. No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.

The victim is from the state of Texas. His named will not be released until his family is notified.
