Security Guard Injured During Attempt Robbery

Los Angeles: On May 1, 2003, at approximately 9:20 a.m., a male Black suspect armed with a 9mm handgun wearing a dark brown long sleeve shirt, dark pants, white tennis shoes, dark wool type cap and a dark colored bandana over the lower portion of his face approached the armed security guard in front of the Bank of America located at 12223 Ventura Boulevard in North Hollywood.

The suspect and guard became engaged in a brief altercation. During the altercation the guard fell to the ground. The suspect shot at the security guard from close range grazing the security guards shirt and bullet proof vest in the torso area.
