Jewelry Store Robbery Suspect Arrested
Los Angeles: On August 3, 2002, at approximately
11:15 a.m., three suspects wearing ski masks entered Ing Brother Jewelry
Store, located at 728 North Hill Street, Unit 135, in Chinatown. The
suspects were armed with rifles and carried a duffel bag. The suspects
ordered everyone to the ground and ransacked the location. One of the
suspects fired numerous rounds in the store with his rifle as the other two
suspects exited the store. The suspects took more than one hundred thousand
dollars worth of jewelry. None of the victims were injured during the
robbery.
A series of similar robberies have occurred during the
past few months in the Chinatown area. The Los Angles Police Department’s
Asian Crime Investigation Section has conducted an extensive investigation
on each case and has determined that the same suspects may have committed
the robberies.
On October 23, 2002, members of the Asian Crime
Investigation Section, conducted a search warrant at one of the suspect’s
residence.
David Lo, a 20-year old Chinese-Cambodian, was arrested
for the robbery and three guns were recovered from his residence.

to identify the three outstanding suspects. Anyone who has information on
