Rampart Home Invasion

Los Angeles: On October 13, 2004, at about 9:15 p.m., Rampart patrol officers responded to a robbery call in the 2700 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

A 71 year-old Korean woman was in her apartment with her eight year-old grandson when a suspect, wearing a Halloween mask, entered through an unlocked front door. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded money. The suspect ordered the grandson to lie down next to his grandmother and covered both of them with a blanket. The suspect ransacked the victim’s home and fled with undisclosed amount of currency.

The victims were traumatized, but not injured.

The suspect is described as a male 5’ 4", 140 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and gray baggy shorts. The suspect spoke Korean.
