Man Shot and Killed

Los Angeles: A 48-year-old Los Angeles man was fatally shot last night in the Jordan Downs housing project authorities said.

Around 9:40 p.m., Chris Donnell Perkins was standing behind an apartment building in the 2040 block of 101 East Street. A gunman walked up to Perkins and brutally shot him multiple times. The suspect fled in an unidentified vehicle.

Perkins was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The motive for the murder is undetermined

Detectives have no suspect information and few leads.
