Devonshire Homicide

PRESS RELEASE
DEVONSHIRE AREA HOMICIDE

September 17, 1998

On Thursday, September 17, 1998, at approximately 11:00 PM, Devonshire Area Patrol Officers responded to a radio call of an Ambulance Cutting, at 20900 block of Roscoe Blvd. Upon arriving at the location the officers encountered a male Hispanic who had been stabbed in the upper body. LAFD Paramedic personnel responded to the location and transported the victim to Northridge Hospital. The attack appeared to have occurred in the alley area to the rear of the apartment building at the Roscoe address.

The victim is a 31 year old male Hispanic. His name is being withheld for investigative purposes and pending possible relative notification. He remains in extremely critical condition at Northridge Hospital.

There are no suspects at this time and the motive for the attack is unknown. The investigation is being handled by the Devonshire Homicide Unit.
