Serial Robbery Suspect Arrested

Los Angeles: On September 9, 2004, at about 11:30 a.m., a male Hispanic suspect approached a Federal Express vehicle in the 8600 block of 3rd Street and attempted to carjack the driver at gunpoint. The suspect was unsuccessful and ran away.

A radio call was generated, which resulted in the response of Wilshire Area patrol officers and Beverly Hills Police Department patrol officers. A perimeter was set up in search for the suspect. The suspect was arrested a short time later.

The suspect was booked for robbery and has been identified as 34 year-old Alfredo Cesar Campana, a resident of Huntington Park. He is believed to have committed multiple armed robberies in the San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside and Los Angeles County including multiple Radio Shacks, Home Depots and other businesses.
