Fatal Traffic Accident in Harbor Area

"Fatal Traffic Accident in Harbor Area"

Los Angeles: On Wednesday September 22, 2004 at approximately 4:40 p.m., a traffic collision occurred on L Street near Mac Donald Avenue in Wilmington a five year-old boy ran into L Street and was struck by a pick-up truck traveling westbound. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and the child was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for critical injuries. The child died due to his injuries. The driver was interviewed and released at the scene by the South Traffic Division investigators.

The investigation continues and is being handled by the South Traffic Division Detectives.
