Hit and Run Suspect Sought

Los Angeles: A pedestrian who was struck by a hit and run driver 14 days ago, has died.

On August 19, 2005, at about 2:35 AM, 42-year-old Mark Servati, a resident of Los Angeles, was crossing Sunset Boulevard near Western Avenue, when he was struck by a car.  The car was traveling eastbound on Sunset Boulevard.

According to a witness, the car did not stop after the collision and continued eastbound on Sunset Boulevard, then turned southbound on Western Avenue.  The witness observed Mr. Servati lying in the roadway.  Mr. Servati received major head trauma and was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition.

The hit and run car was described as a 1990's light green Toyota Tercel.  The driver was described as a male Black, 30-35 years of age. 
 
On August 29, 2005, at 6:22 P.M., Mr. Servati died from his injuries at the hospital.
