Identical Twin Brothers Killed in Collision
Los Angeles: An early morning traffic collision has taken the lives of identical twin brothers.
On Monday, September 29, 2008 at about 2:30 a.m., Jesse Brackett was driving a 1996 Acura Integra northbound on Beachwood Drive, near Glen Oak Street. Brackett lost control of the vehicle and travelled across Beachwood Drive into the southbound lanes and collided with a U-Haul Truck parked at the curb. The impact forced the U-Haul backwards into a 1990 Cadillac Seville parked behind it. Brackett was killed upon impact.
Brackett’s twin brother, David Brackett, was a front seat passenger in the vehicle and also sustained major injuries. He died less than an hour later at a local hospital. The brothers were 23-years old, both, residents of Los Angeles.
West Traffic Division Detective Michael Dickson is conducting the investigation. Anyone with information can call him at 213-473-0234.
After-hours and on weekends calls may be directed to the 24-hour, toll-free number, 1-877-LAW-FULL (529-3855) or texting CRIMES (274637) and beginning the message with LAPD. Tipsters may also submit information on the LAPD website www.lapdonline.org., and can remain anonymous.
