13-Year-Old Girl Missing

Los Angeles: Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Jennifer Judith Cortez who’s mental condition is poor and suffers from depression and is Bi-Polar.

On Thursday, March 13, 2008, at around 5:30 p.m., Jennifer left home to walk her dog. As of Friday afternoon, Jennifer has not returned or called home.

During the initial investigation an LAPD K-9 conducted a search for Jennifer and the trail led from her home to a local motel located in the 4100 block of Western Avenue. A search of the motel and surrounding area did not yield any results.

Jennifer is Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet tall and weighs 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater and blue jeans.

Her dog was described as a small black and brown, unknown breed with a pink collar. It is unknown if the dog is still with Jennifer.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dena Johnson at 213-485-2585. On weekends or during off-hours call the 24-hour toll free number at 1-877-LAWFULL (529-3855).
