WHY:
Valley Bureau Areas of West Valley and Van Nuys will discuss holiday crime prevention and enforcement efforts as we head toward the end of the holiday shopping season. To that end, West Valley and Van Nuys Areas will display some of the holiday crime fighting strategies, particularly as it pertains to shopping mall safety and crime prevention.

This will include Van Nuys Area’s “Leave it-Loose it” campaign. The West Valley Area Volunteer Mounted Patrol (VMP), is a group of men and women from the community who enjoy riding horses and volunteering their time to assist the Los Angeles Police Department in crime prevention; the Police explorers; Specialized equipment and vehicles and other citizen groups such as the “eyes and ears” Volunteer Surveillance team.
