Hit and Run leaves 14-year-old injured NR19251jc

Fashion District: Detectives
from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division
are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that
would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved
in a hit and run collision that left a 14-year-old female
injured.

On September 12, 2019, around 7:40 a.m., the victim was walking in
the crosswalk at Washington Boulevard and Stanford Avenue and she
was struck by a tan-colored Sports Utility Vehicle. The SUV is
described as a possible Toyota Highlander. The suspect fled the
scene and did not stop, render aid, and identify himself. The
suspect is described as a male black and about 30-years-old.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with
non-life-threatening injuries and was released.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision,
they should stop, notify emergency services, and remain at the
scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles
Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program
Trust Fund. A reward of up to $5,000 is available to community
members that provide information leading to the offender’s
identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution
through a civil compromise.
