14-Year-Old Girl Severely Injured in Hit-and-Run
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division detectives are seeking the public’s help identifying the driver of a vehicle that struck a 14-year-old girl leaving her severely injured.
On June 6, 2025, around 8:35 p.m., the suspect’s vehicle was traveling northbound on Vermont Avenue at 90th Street, when it collided into a 14-year-old pedestrian who was walking westbound Vermont Avenue inside of a marked crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, identify him/herself, or render aid to the victim and continued driving northbound on Vermont Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department’s paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white pickup truck.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a traffic collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
