"15 Year Old Victim Dies from Shooting"

Los Angeles – On Monday, August 7, 2000 at approximately 7:25 p.m., uniformed officers assigned to Southeast Area Patrol responded to a shots fired radio call at 96th Street and Antwerp Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 15-year-old male Black down at the location suffering from gunshot wounds.

A Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance responded to the location and transported the victim to Martin Luther King Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:55 p.m.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.

The identity of the victim is being withheld due to his age.
