15-Year-Old Youth Shot in East Los Angeles

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Area is investigating the shooting death of 15-year-old Enrique Chavez.
On Sunday, February 27, 2005, about 8:20 p.m., several Hispanic men walked up to Chavez as he stood on the northeast corner of St. Louis Street and Michigan Avenue in East Los Angeles. The suspects fired several shots, striking Chavez multiple times in the upper body. Chavez was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
No suspect or weapon descriptions were available.
