Los Angeles: On Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at 6:00 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Community Police Station will hold an awards ceremony at the Watch 3 Roll Call.
The purpose of the ceremony is to honor 16 Devonshire Area officers with the "10851 Club" award for making at least six observation Grand Theft Arrests in a twelve-month period. The California Highway Patrol and the Automobile Club of Southern California will present each of the officers with a "10851 Pin" that designates this accomplishment and can subsequently be worn on their uniform.
This is a significant increase in both the number of Grand Theft Arrests and officers receiving the award from the previous twelve-month period.
Also in attendance will be Devonshire Area Captains Joseph Curreri and John Sherman. For further information related to this event, contact Detective Mike Stangland, Devonshire Area Auto Theft Coordinator, at 818-756-8291.
