2009 LAPD Medal of Valor Recipients
Annually, the Los Angeles Dodgers pay tribute to the winners of the Medal of Valor Award during a pre-game ceremony. The Medal of Valor is the LAPD’s highest, most prestigious honor and is awarded to officers who have gone above and beyond the normal demands of police service and who have displayed acts of extreme courage while consciously facing imminent peril. During the presentation, Los Angeles Dodger fans will hear about acts of such heroism exemplified by this year’s recipients. Stories include:
• The rescue of residents from a burning apartment building
• Pulling a man from a burning car
• Saving the life of a fellow officer
Tickets to the game are available by calling 866 DODGERS or online at www.dodgers.com.
