The 2015 LGBTQ Community Police Academy

WHEN:
Thursday, September 10, 2015
6-9 p.m. will run consecutively for 9 weeks on Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m.

WHO:
Deputy Chief Beatrice Girmala – LAPD Operations West Bureau Captain Michelle Veenstra- LAPD Commanding Officer, Training Division The LGBTQ Community Police Academy will be hosted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)

WHY:
The participants will learn about LAPD Policy and Procedures from some of the Department’s most respected Subject Matter Experts. Participants will also be given the opportunity to participate in various activities to apply their new knowledge. Upon the completion of the LGBTQ Community Police Academy, the participants will be honored in a graduation ceremony which will take place November 5, 2015.
