The LAPD LGBTQ Community Police Academy will graduate 15 community members. The graduation will feature welcome remarks from Deputy Chief Beatrice Girmala and two keynote speakers, elected by their fellow classmates to address the attendees.

For the last nine weeks the graduates learned about LAPD policies and procedures from the Department’s most respected subject matter experts. They had the opportunity to learn about the LAPD Use of Force policy and participated in the Force Option Simulator scenarios. The graduates also took a tour of our Custody Services Division and Communications Division.
