$25,000.00 Reward Offered for Murder Suspect

Where: Hollenbeck Operations Support Division 1936 East First Street Los Angeles

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, January 1, 2002, at approximately 5:30 a.m., a shooting occurred at a New Year’s Eve party on the 100 block of Avenue 28 in the community of Lincoln Heights. Three individuals were killed and one injured during the shooting and the suspects fled the location. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Homicide Unit detectives have been investigating this incident and they have arrested one of the suspects as of January 15, 2002.

Captain Al Michelena, Commanding Officer of Hollenbeck Operations Support Division, and the detectives will be conducting a press conference to request the public’s assistance in locating an additional suspect. Additional details as well as a photograph of the suspect will be released during the press conference.

Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed P. Reyes from the First Council District will also attend the press conference to announce $25,000.00 reward for the apprehension and prosecution of the suspect.
