Los Angeles: Los Angeles police detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding any witnesses who may have seen the beating death of a 27- year-old male Hispanic.
On February 17, 2007 at about 5:30 AM, officers received a 911 call “Ambulance Traffic Collision” at 600 West 4th Street.
Los Angeles Police officers from Central Traffic Division responded to investigate the possible traffic related death, upon their arrival, officers determined that the victim did not appear to have sustained injuries from a traffic accident.
Paramedics were at scene and noted that the injuries were to the upper body and head, and also noted that the victim had no injuries to his lower torso and no evidence that he had been a victim of a traffic accident.
Central Area Homicide Detectives were notified, responded and took over the investigative responsibility.
The victim has been identified: however, his name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
Neither the suspect nor the motive have been identified.
