Media Availability to Discuss The 2nd Annual Los Angeles Region Security Summit

WHAT: News Conference WHEN: Wednesday, November 14, 2018 7:30 a.m.

WHERE: Paramount Studios 5515 Melrose Ave Los Angeles, CA 90038 *Media will enter lot through Bronson Street gate*

WHO: LAPD Chief Michel Moore LAPD Assistant Chief Beatrice Girmala, Director, Office of Special Operations

WHY: Prior to the scheduled security summit, a news conference will be held for the media. Due to the sensitive nature of the topic, media will not be allowed to attend the summit.

The focus of this summit is to explain the changing landscape and identify some of the challenges facing today’s security environment, specifically in the school and public transportation arenas. It intends to further the partnerships between the law enforcement and private sector.
