3 Year Old Injured With Flare Gun

On Wednesday, August 25, 1999, Devonshire Patrol Officers responded to a radio call for an injury investigation, along with LA City Fire Department, in the 10400 block of Oklahoma Ave. Chatsworth.

It was discovered that a 7 year old boy gained access to an Emergency Flare gun and discharged the gun in the face of his 3 year old brother. The 3 year old was transported by LA Fire Department helicopter, to Children’s Hospital, Hollywood, where he is undergoing treatment, in stable condition, for significant facial injuries.

The investigation is being conducted by Devonshire Operations Support Division Detectives.
