On July 5, 2008, at 9:10 a.m., a courier guard for Dunbar Armored was making a scheduled delivery to the Guadalajara Meat Market located in the 14100 block of South Vermont Avenue. As the courier entered the market, he was attacked by a lone suspect. The courier fell to the ground and the suspect fled with the “coal bag” containing cash. The courier chased the suspect on foot and fired two rounds at him as he entered and fled in a green 1997 Isuzu Trooper.
