37-Year-old Man Standing Next to His Car Shot and Killed NR09593gb

Los Angeles:  A 37-year-old man was shot to death while standing next to his car in Van Nuys on December 20, 2009.
 
At around 8:15 P.M., Carlos Bonilla left his residence in the 14700 block of Archwood Street to go to work.  Bonilla was standing near the driver’s side door of his vehicle when he was confronted by an assailant who shot him in the head. Paramedics rushed to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.   

The gunman was last seen driving west on Archwood Street in a possible mid 1990’s Dodge Durango Sport Utility Vehicle.  The motive of the shooting is undetermined and there are no known witnesses or suspect description.
