Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department Criminal Gang Homicide Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for the death of 40-year-old Paul T. James.

On October 11, 2012, around 8:45 p.m., 40-year-old Paul T. James was walking in the 9600 block of South Hoover Street when he was approached by a male Black.  Without warning the Suspect produced a handgun and shot James multiple times.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and transported James to a local hospital where he died a short time later from his injuries.

The suspect is described as male Black wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.  He was last seen leaving the area on foot eastbound on Colden Avenue from Hoover Street.

There is no apparent motive for this senseless murder.  Detectives have exhausted all investigative leads and are hoping the $50,000 reward will assist in the investigation.
