50-Year-Old Woman Killed in Traffic Collision

Los Angeles: On October 19, 2003, at about 2:30 a.m., 34 year-old Darryl Tonn was driving his 1999 Mercury Villager southbound on Virgil Avenue attempting to turn eastbound on Santa Monica Boulevard when he was struck by a 1995 Kia Sephia that was travelling northbound on Virgil Avenue.
The passenger of the Kia Sephia, 50 year-old, Kieo Sansom sustained blunt force trauma, head trauma and was transported to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
Darryl Tonn was determined to be under the influence of an intoxicant and was arrested for 191.5 P.C Vehicular Manslaughter.
The investigation is on going and is being conducted by Central Traffic Division Detectives.
