On April 27, 2008, at about 7:25 p.m., officers from the LAPD’s Northeast Community Police Station were summoned to the 3100 block of Chaucer Street for a shooting call. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were already at the scene and rendering aid to 16-year-old Albert Elvira, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Albert was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives and family members of the deceased hope that a $50,000 reward will be an added incentive for anyone with information to come forward.
