WHY: On June 27th, 2020, at approximately 9:05 pm, Melvin Frye, was riding his bicycle in a south western direction across Main Street south of 103rd Street when he was struck by a vehicle driving Southbound on Main Street.

After the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without providing aid or identifying themselves, as required by law. Mr. Frye passed away at scene from his injuries.
