75 Year-Old Woman Killed in Traffic Collision

Los Angeles: On Friday, January 3, 2003, at approximately 4:45 a.m. a fatal traffic collision occurred on Lincoln Boulevard south of La Tijera Boulevard, in the Westchester area of Los Angeles. The victim, a 75 year-old female resident of Pacific Palisades, was driving a 2000 Honda CRV northbound on Lincoln Boulevard and for no apparent reason, collided with the east curb. The vehicle continued in a northeast direction and collided with a tree. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Witnesses who observed the traffic collision stated that there were no other vehicles involved in the traffic collision and for no apparent reason the Honda drifted to the right then to the left then back to the right and collided with the curb and then a tree.
There was no evidence of the victim being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
