WHY:
LAPD 77th Street Division will be hosting a town hall meeting to discuss homelessness and crime trends in 77th Street Division. We would like to give all our partners time to introduce themselves and their office/organization and give a brief overview of what their role in homelessness is. After introductions, we will provide some statistics to the audience highlighting the efforts we have all worked together over the past year to achieve. Next, we would like to share plans for the current and upcoming events before opening the floor for questions and answers.
Prior events have shown that when a partner office/department/organization is not present or able to speak on their behalf, critical facts are left out from the answers that our community member stakeholders receive. We plan on taking questions and providing a unified response.
This experience will undoubtedly provide transparency to the community as we move forward to build a better relationship.
