UPDATE

Irina Gitelma was found on Sunday, March 23, 2014, in the city of Montebello.  She was transported to a local hospital and treated for dehydration.  The family has been notified.

Los Angeles:   The family of Irina Gitelma and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are seeking public assistance to help locate Gitelma.

Gitelma was last seen at her Los Angeles residence in the 5800 block of San Vicente Boulevard on March 18, 2014, around 7 a.m.  She weighs about 125 pounds and is described as a white female with blonde hair and brown eyes.  She may be wearing a dark-blue, hooded velvet jacket with dark pants and white tennis shoes. Gitelma speaks only Russian and suffers from memory loss.

Anyone with information on Gitelma’s whereabouts is asked to contact LAPD Missing Persons Unit Detective Baca at 213-996-1800.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
